Privacy Policy
Effective July 28, 2026
Nivometra Softwares inc. (“Nivometra”) is based in the Province of Québec, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use Nivometra, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It complements our Terms of Service.
1.Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service:
- Account information — your email address and a securely hashed password.
- Report inputs — the site details you enter or pin, such as the project name, address, and coordinates, and the parameters of each report you generate.
- Payment information — handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. We receive a confirmation and receipt, but we do not store your full payment card details.
- Technical information — basic logs such as your IP address and browser type, used to keep the service secure and working.
2.How we use it
We use this information to:
- create your account and let you sign in;
- generate, store, and let you revisit your reports;
- process payments and send receipts;
- respond to your messages and support requests; and
- secure the service and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your report inputs for advertising.
3.Service providers
We share information only with the providers that help us run the service, and only as needed for them to perform that work: Lemon Squeezy (payments, as merchant of record), Resend (email delivery), Render (hosting), MapTiler (map display and address lookups), and Cloudflare (protection against automated abuse). These providers may process data outside Québec, including in the United States.
4.How long we keep it
We keep your account and reports for as long as your account is active so the reports stay available to you. An account whose email address is never confirmed is deleted automatically after 7 days. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information except where we must keep a limited record to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
5.Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw your consent to its use. To make a request, email contact@nivometra.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by law.
6.Security
We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections and hashed passwords. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to limit access to it.
7.Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the service to work — for example, to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
8.Privacy questions and complaints
The person in charge of the protection of personal information at Nivometra is the president of Nivometra Softwares inc.. To exercise your rights, ask a question, or make a complaint about how we handle your data, email contact@nivometra.com.
9.Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above. Please check back periodically.
